Behind the Scenes: Making our Henna Gloss Bars

Behind the Scenes: Making our Henna Gloss Bars

Our clients wanted a really easy to use henna treatment. We created the Henna Gloss Bar to easily melt, apply, and give clients a deeply moisturizing treatment with a tint of henna red. Creating something that was so easy, and gentle on the hair was perfect for those new to henna for hair. After extensive research and testing we came up with 6 simple organic ingredients. Combining these ingredients we created a beautiful flower shaped gloss bar. We melt all the butters. As we wait for those to melt we measure out our 3 herbs. Did we mention how yummy everything is smelling? Once everything is melted, and the herbs are ready we combine them all together in our large mixer. As it mixes and cools, we add our lemon juice, and preservative. We then pour this mixture into our molds. We allow this to cool, and harden (soap logs in background). Then we package all of our Henna Gloss Bars and they are ready to be purchased. Once you receive your Henna Gloss Bar, please store in a cool, dark place until ready to use. It’s best to allow your Henna Gloss Bar to melt on low heat, either in a double boiler, or in a pot inside of a larger pot filled with water on the stove. Do not microwave. Always be careful not to burn yourself. You can add other ingredients to your Henna Gloss Bar as desired, such as other henna or herbs, and even coconut milk. Now it’s ready to be applied! When My Roots are Oily, But my Ends are Dry

When My Roots are Oily, But my Ends are Dry

Oily hair is caused by a number of reasons: Often people purchase products to treat dry hair in order to treat the ends, but the extra moisturizing will cause problems if the roots are already oily, so it’s best to use products for oily hair to combat the oiliness and then moisturize just the ends of the hair where the moisture is needed. There are many reasons why hair could be oily at the root, below are the most common reasons. Oily hair can be a result of over washing your hair. When you continue to wash your hair, the scalp over compensates by producing more oil. Long showers with hot water (which dries the scalp) will also increase the oiliness of your scalp. Dry scalp . This may sound unusual that a dry scalp would cause hair to be oily, but what happens is that when the scalp is dry, it secretes more oil to counter the dryness.  If you suffer from dandruff and oily hair, this would be an indication that your scalp is compensating for dryness by putting out more oil. To relieve this, you can massage our Organic Tea Tree Oil (must be used diluted in a carrier oil) into your scalp to reduce the dandruff and help moisturize your scalp. Using herbs like our Brahmi, Bhringraj, Amla and Neem can help with this problem of dry scalp.  Our Sukesh Ayurveda is a special blend that includes all of these herbs, and contains exclusive additions. Each of these herbs work together and individually to address scalp conditioning and hair follicle nourishment concerns.  Sukesh Ayurveda can...
