#RecipeChallenge
3/4 cup Rhassoul Clay
1 TSP Amla Powder
1 TSP Brahmi Powder
1 TSP Bhringraj
1 TSP Hibiscus Petal Powder
1 TSP Aloe Vera Powder
1 TSP Fenugreek Powder
2 TBSP Manuka Honey
2 TBSP Amla Oil
14 oz. Can Coconut Milk
4 oz Herbal Tea (Boiling Hot, to dissolve Powders)
Take the Rhassoul Clay and add a portion of the hot tea to it in a glass or ceramic bowl while stopping and stirring. Since clay absorbs liquid and tends to clump at first, you want to get the initial consistency more pasty/pudding like. It does not have to be smooth at this point. Then add the additional herbs and mix well again while adding the Coconut Milk and more tea as needed. Once satisfied with the general consistency, add the Amla Oil and Manuka Honey to smooth out the paste. With clays, you don’t want them to dry in your hair or they’ll be hard to remove no matter how finely ground the powder may be, so covering the paste while in your hair with a plastic conditioning cap is recommended and there is no need to leave it in for a long amount of time. Clay gets to work immediately! Rinse thoroughly with water. Most will come out on its own, but, if a little residue does linger, follow-up with a co-wash. Even though hair may feel extremely soft, I highly recommend to still follow-up with a deep conditioner!!!
My recipe:
1 tsp of alma
2 tsp of brahami
2 tsp bhringraj
100g of Henna
~ .5 cup of boiling water
~.5 cup coconut milk
Mix all ingredients until smooth yogurt consistency. (Remember to add water in gradually.) When the mixture cools, its ready to be applied to hair. Usually, I leave it overnight but the amount of time is up to you.
Also, the coconut milk makes rinsing the next morning so easy 🙂
I find the Ayurvedic herbs helps to combat the itches that sometimes comes with henna so its a must for me!

I use Alama and brahmi powder for a hair mask. It consists of 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 of yoghurt and one teaspoon of honey. To the mixture I also add half a cup of each of the powders.
