Henna Sooq is excited to be working with a women’s cooperative in Morocco to support the women, and our sisters to create jobs where they can become financially independent, to strengthen the community, and bring growth in the region.
Since 2004 the women’s cooperative had produced organic argan oil and other local products. Their goal is to help local women improve their economic condition. In their region there is an abundance of argan trees, and the local women know how to traditionally extract the argan oil by hand.
The cooperative is now composed of 62 women that are from the region and who rely on the production of Organic Argan Oil to improve there situation and in which Henna Sooq imports directly from them.
Thanks to this the cooperative is able to afford the right tools to improve productivity, and increase the amount of production.
