Darcy’s World Blog wrote a great post on why your stylist may hate henna. It’s a must read.
I also wanted to note that I even personally hear of natural hair stylists putting down henna because they too believe the misconceptions or have learned how bad henna is. It’s very disappointing that well known natural hair stylists and educators would not support nor recommend henna and natural hair coloring products that are 100% chemical free. I’ve been told they actually teach this in their own natural hair workshops. Being natural to me, is about being 100% chemical free, not about if it does or doesn’t change the texture of your hair.
Being natural means being natural. Just that.
Henna, and Ayurvedic herbs are truly your only 100% chemical free natural alternative to chemical hair color.
So please natural hair stylists do learn more about henna and natural hair coloring products (ayurveda) from Henna Sooq. It’s time we started promoting all aspects of natural hair, natural lifestyle and health.
I would be more then happy to take some of my time to give you a 101 on henna, and natural hair color. You can also read my article on Henna and Ayurvedic Hair Care at Your Salon
Reasons:

- Poor Henna Products Lead to Henna Horror Stories
- Henna Gives Transparent Colour Coverage
- The Initial Result is Not the Final Result
- Even with Good Products, Results Can Vary
- Finally, Henna is Time Consuming
