hi Khadija,
Just read some of your blog site info…especially interested in the information on soapnuts and all its’ many uses. It amazes me to find all these natural products and you can count me in on my next order to try this one. Your soapbar is excellent, I’m being careful to keep it dry in between uses, and just redid my indigo/henna mixture yesterday to get the roots a bit better ( o heck, those greys just keep coming, but it’s fun trying to squelch them anyway) After a few days my hair is so soft and shiny with the nicest color, folks always comment on it. And by-the-way, my sister Dar came up with a terrific idea to cover the wet mixture, keeping drips to a minimum with Glad Press ‘n Seal wrap(I use 2 sheets appr. 18″ long, 1 is wrapped front to back and the other back to front, pressed against the head and sealed tight, so cool)
Your products are wonderful! *s*

Hi!
I am also being really careful with my soapbar between uses and to keep it extra dry. It does keep moisture well if left near or in the water (even if it’s a little bit).
I am going to right up a blog post about that soon.
Someone had mentionned that if you cut up the bar into smaller portions, you can use a little at a time, and take a fresh piece once the other one is finished. Makes it last longer and keeps the extras dry.
Press N Seal! Neat! Does it work better then regular saran wrap??
Thanks hun! Always love your comments
Hi Khadija! I just wanted to tell you that it was a pleasure meeting you on Sunday and that I diligently followed the instructions you gave me with the Yemeni henna – I mixed it with warm water and put a tiny amount of lemon juice. I went to sleep last night looking like an egghead! The results are phenomenal. My hair is so smooth and shiny. Plus I have dark hair but I can already see the reddish tint! I rinsed it all out with water and then conditioned it when it was damp with your cocoveda oil. It smells yummy. You definitely have a customer/well-wisher for life! This is the best quality of henna I have seen in a very long time.
How often should I use it? It takes a lot of time – sometimes I don’t have that luxury. Also, my mother-in-law has fibromyalgia and has a really hard time mixing and moving in general, so I was wondering if I could mix the henna from her lush brown kit for her and leave it in the freezer for her before we leave for the states. Would that be OK? She could mix the indigo when she was ready.
Thanks Khadija – you are amazing! =)
All the best,
Supriya
Supriya, glad to hear you got back safe and sound! I was telling everyone about you. Telling my staff how they would have loved to meet you!
I am so glad the red came through so nice. You’re going to have to send before and after shots, if you can.
Generally the henna treatments can be every 4-6 weeks. It is only sooner if the person has any grey hairs they need to cover up, but you can do root touch ups in those instances. For hair oiling as often as needed, which can be before or after every washing. Everyone has their preference.
Yes as long as you freeze the henna and let her unthaw it and use it right away when it’s done, it can be used. But with Moroccan just be careful it doesn’t sit out any extra time once its thawed out.
The indigo, at the last minute for sure. Keep in touch!
Do you like the new little blue orbs we added to keep in touch with us?
I have recently purchased some Henna products from your site. I would like to ask if there is any har lighning solutions. You have mentionned honey is a natural peroxide could this make my hair go from medium auburn to a strawberry blond eventually?
I have also forgot to mention I have read on another website Henna natural that apple cider vinegar is good to add to the mix for resistant greys is this true? And with grey hair coverage we shouldnt use yogurt oil or eggs in our mix because it prevents the henna from covering the grey. I have used lemon but find it much too drying to the hair.
Thank you for your post Tina. Unfortunately not naturally, and honey isn’t strong enough. YES ACV is good as a liquid for mixing your henna with. Yes don’t use heavy ingredients or liquids are it dilutes the color too much. Yes lemon juice can be too drying. I’d recommend water or herbal teas or ACV
