Just a quick announcement that our baby girl has arrived on June 6th 2008 at 4:26 pm.
I am on the road to recovery so please be patient and expect some delays. I will update this post as soon as I am stronger to do so.
Updates: You can tell just how out of it I was the other day right?! LOL! I forgot to add all the other info. That’s how it is when you have just had a baby.
Her name is: Matinah bing Jamal Pender. She weighed a big 8 pds 2 oz. Now that is a bit baby for me!! I have had my smallest at 6 pds 11 oz and my biggest before this little gal, was my other girl, Mariyah, who was 7 pds 6 oz.
She was born sunny side up 🙂 She has all ten fingers and toes. No birth marks. She has a lot of hair. Dark, silky black hair. She is like 20 and half inches long.
The labor was kind of long to me, but not so bad. I got to the birthing center about 11 am and then you know the time she was born. My water actually broke on its own this time, and that was a bit scary for me when it happened. It happened when I was close to delivery time though anyhow. It was just a splush and a big urge to push.
Pushed her out in about 30 minutes, in a traditional on the bed laying back position. Hubby always with one leg for me. I was so GLAD when it was over 🙂 Honestly!! Very happy.
So now I’m just really tired and really hungry 🙂 That’s it for now!
Thank you
PS I will post some pics soon! One thing at a time!

Thank you everyone for the amazing comments!
Remember, everyone is invited to the aqeeqah, which is the celebration of the birth of our baby! Big BBQ, on June 21st, 2008 from 3 pm and on.
We like original and unique names for our children, or just ones that become special to us. Each of our children have a little story behind their name.
Matinah was chosen by myself, when I found it looking up Muslim baby names, and suggested it to my hubby.
Her name means firm, solid. Her name is used in other cultures/languages such as Greek, Spanish, and Arabic.
Congratulations sweet heart !
Enjoy this little (big) girl ..resta lot ..and you knw if you need anything i’ll be there..hope to see Matinah very very soon..we’ll come to her aqiqah insha allah.

Great name, great meaning. I think meanings are just as important as the ‘ring’ of a name.
And remember, we will all understand if we don’t ‘see’ you much online 😀
