Being fully prepared to naturally color, or treat your hair is essential to getting the best results from your ayurvedic hair treatments.
A few steps you can take to ensure the best results:
- Wash your hair. Your hair doesn’t have to be freshly washed, but it should be clean of styling products, and oil build up. Should your hair need to be washed of those things, please do so before your henna treatment.
- Trim the ends. Get rid of dead and split ends, and extra hair you’ll be cutting off anyhow. No need to waste your valuable henna, and ayurvedic herbs on hair you plan on cutting off. Cut and trim before you do your treatments.
- Pre-oil. You can also pre-oil your hair especially if your hair needs that extra moisture as henna and ayurvedic hair treatments can be drying for all hair types.
- Steam. This will gently lift your cuticle for better penetration, and absorption of your henna and ayurvedic hair treatments. This also gently adds moisture to your hair, promotes hair strength and elasticity.
- Damp Hair. You can also lightly spritz your hair using one of our spritz bottles, with water or oil blend, to dampen your hair. Applying henna and ayurvedic hair treatments will go on much easier, and smoother making your application time less time consuming.
- Paste, Tools and More! Make sure to have your paste ready, gloves, towels, and all your tools out and ready to get started.
Now you’re ready to get that hair done!
