The demand for Moroccan henna has increased dramatically over the last year. So much so, that we had to order more Moroccan henna in order to keep it stocked. We apologize for any delays clients had with receiving their orders.
Moroccan henna is one of the hardest henna powders to get in stock, as it takes more time then usual, and finding the right source for high quality Moroccan henna is also difficult.
This is an amazing henna powder, and just like argan oil, it’s one of the premium henna powders available! It was my first love affair with henna. It always had to be Moroccan henna.
For hair it’s great as it blends well to create brown to black tones without the red peeking through. In recent years though the Moroccan henna has produced richer stains, so we do recommend hair strand tests to ensure the color is still blending well with the proper proportions used.
Moroccan henna also has a very fast dye release, so you don’t need to sit and wiat for hours for your henna to be ready. When mixing it for body art application, it is ready right on time, especially for those last minute henna parties. It should usually be ready between 6-8 hours.
The rich, color results on the skin is perfect for henna body artists. You can see below the progression of how natural henna deepens over time.
Moroccan henna is so rich, creamy, and has gorgeous color results this year! We did go ahead and order extra before the 2009 crop is finished. There has been heavy rains there as well, that will cause the crop for 2010 to come in a little later this year.
Have a successful 2010 henna season and get your Moroccan henna today!

Hi there! Can you tell me if there is another henna that stains similarly to Moroccan henna, for a more brownish red color? I was going to order but it appears to be out of stock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a brownish light red, plan to use equal parts of henna, amla, and cassia. Thank You!
Hello Madreena. Alone no natural 100% henna powder will stain brown tones. Commercial products on the market are henna blends with henna and other herbs in the mix to achieve browner tones. You can also prepare your own recipe as such and know exactly what is in your recipe. The Moroccan henna would be your best choice along with indigo to make it more reddish-brown. The cassia would make all henna recipes more orange-copper toned. Indigo is the ingredient for more brown. Amla only tones down the red of henna slightly.
Thank you, Khadija
I should have said in my first question, I want to avoid Indigo at all costs. It’s having a monsterous love affair with my hair. Hasn’t budged even with repeated honey lightening treatments.
I guess my question is, is there another henna that gives the lower red staining like Moroccan henna? I don’t mind some red, just don’t want to be flame or burgundy red.
