Making the perfect henna paste is an artform similar to applying henna. It takes practice, patience, and more practice. The right ingredients are also needed to make this perfect henna paste, and all the steps need to be followed one at a time.
We have the opportunity to share this with you since we are one of the leading henna companies, specializing in natural hair care, and henna body art. We enjoy sharing our experience with you, and would like you to share this with others. Thank you for being apart of Henna Sooq, and what it has become today.
Here are the final steps in making your henna paste.
- Straining the henna paste is important so that it is a very smooth, and fine consistency. The better the paste, the faster you can work, and the happier you, and your client/friend/family will be.
- Filling your henna cones is as easy as 1,2,3. Watch the videos and see exactly how Henna Sooq makes their amazing henna paste.
Hello! I made henna paste from an equal mix of yemeni and henna sooq’s supreme blend. I attempted to use an old stocking to strain the paste, and it really didn’t work well at all. The consistency seemed right–very similar to that in the video. There was a lot of debris in the stocking. I mean a lot. Did I possibly get a bad batch of yemeni? The supreme blend was visibly different from the pouch–much finer. My guess is I should have sifted the dry yemeni before mixing it with the supreme. The other thing i did was mix dextrose with the dry henna before adding my lime/lemon juice. Any tips would be very helpful! Thank you!!!
Hello Mary Jo. Thanks for your post. The Yemeni batch we currently have isn’t as finely sifted as previous years. It’s better for use on hair due to this. Yes absolutely you could also sift it beforehand as it’s more so with twigs then our supreme blend. The dextrose (sugar) should be okay and won’t interfere with the straining but dry sift the yemeni as it’s just not as fine as previous years. We hope to get back to our regular supplier once they can allow imports from Yemen to the USA.
Thank you for the info! I will definitely use it in my hair 🙂 Just want to let you know that the strained paste I did get left beautiful, dark stains.
