It has been a really long weekend. We left kind of late on Thursday evening, to head to Maryland, USA. We used to live there and had some things to do. In the end, it didn’t really work out regarding the things we needed to do, or perhaps it just wasn’t meant to be at that time. But I had a nice visit with friends and the mall 🙂 The weather was amazing!!
We just made it back home here in Montreal, at about 5 am this morning. So it was a full day at home. I did some catching up and have plenty left to do. Especially before my little baby comes in June (probably during the first week), and my business inventory and paperwork. That’s the part I don’t really enjoy.
My throat is feeling a little achy today, so maybe a cold is coming. I am already tired and feeling weak because the time is coming closer to have the baby and then moving too! It’s all a whole lot of “stuff”. I still have a bag to pack for the having the baby and I’m not ready yet. I need to order some things from Delivery Essentials (www.deliveryessentials.com).
A client told me today that her package came damaged, which sometimes can happen with Canada Post or USPS as they don’t always handle shipments as they should. I hate that! I try to work it out the best way I can with the client. Usually it works out fine. I can send the client new products and then we deal with Canada Post ourselves to compensate for the new shipment sent out. Thanks goodness! But it takes at least 30-45 days for that to work out, and I don’t like to leave clients waiting that long. So I take care of the client first and then worry about Canada Post myself. Luckily none of the products were damaged and all the order is there.
Honestly this more so, happens with USPS not with Canada Post. Once it hits that border, it’s in the hands of USPS and the USA border is only but an hour away from here or else it gets put onto an airplane rather quickly.
In this case, the powders were loose (as they usually are loose herbal powders as that is what we sell), but some were lumps or lumpy. I am currently investigating this, and this is the first time anyone has ever said that. That’s the truth! I want clients to be honest, so if that ever has happened I would want to know. The only thing I can think of is that the packages are air tight and that makes a lump but once you open it the air comes in, and the powders crumbles out as it should. Powder goes everywhere after that!
So how could this be? Our powders come in double layers of plastic and one of those layers is air tight, so moisture does not get in, and the last main packaging is the foil wrapping to keep out light. Then the hair herbal powders are stored in our cold room, and the henna in our freezers. So I just don’t get it. Everyone has been very happy with the powders, except for indigo making some itch (indigo is not everyone’s best herbal powder. At least 5%-10% get bothered or itchy by the indigo, so please be careful).
So in this situation, I will basically see pictures of this issue, as I have requested already and the second step if it cannot be resolved is to then have the products that were not satisfactory sent back to us for review, and replacement.
Hopefully this will work out smoothly!
If you ever run into such issues please do let us know. We want you to be honest about the products and most of all be HAPPY! If you’re happy, then I’m happy. I would only share products with you that I am happy with myself.
Night everyone!
