Here in Montreal, it has been really rainy and cloudy. I am kind of sick of it honestly, and want some of that good old sun. I’ll be needing it too, because my babies come out kind of yellowish and you need the sun and some good breastmilk to push that yellowing/jaundice out. Hopefully it won’t be an issue for us. We’ve had two children treated before regarding the jaundice.

So I am waiting…just waiting for this baby to say hello to us! I am 38 weeks today, and trying to take it easy. I was really busy all the way up to now. I did my last henna party on Saturday night. I still have orders flowing in, and on Monday we had like 7 alone, in one day. Usually on average it is 20-30 orders per week. The summer does get very busy though. That’s when I have large bulk orders, and plenty of local pick ups.

On Monday, I also had some stronger contractions going on, or at least I thought so, but they tappered off. Kind of disappointing though because I was looking forward to them still sticking with us. So here I am, trying to be patient and just wait. I know, I always say, what is meant to be will be. So I should live by my own words.

The largest henna powder order we have ever received was for 320 kgs, and that was in 2006. It was placed for a client right here in Quebec. As for henna paste, our largest order was for 375 oz for a company based in Alberta, and they do henna at the Calgary Stampede. Now all of that is a LOT of work!! But I really like working with the people who placed these orders.

But otherwise, I am waiting for contractions to come along more consistently. My daughter said tomorow the baby is coming so we’ll see if a 5 year old can make a good prediction! Then we”ll have our aqeeqah for the baby (celebration of birth) by having a huge BBQ, and get to say good bye to everyone, as we get ready to leave for Toronto. I can’t believe it! Time just flies.
