Yes, it’s another beautiful Happy Henna Friday!
We have another treat for you from Henna Sooq and it only lasts for 1 day. Today! May 13th 2011 until midnight EST.
We have Jamila BAQ Summer Crop 2008 on sale for only $2.99 (100 grams). This is an excellent henna powder for hair usage, and we’ve used it and tested it ourselves. The dye content is potent with this henna powder, and you can’t beat this amazing price!

You can also use this henna powder for just its conditioning and strengthening benefits if you aren’t too concerned with color results. It does still dye quite strong as we’ve kept this henna powder well stored. It will wash out so easily as this henna powder makes a very creamy paste, like melted chocolate.
This would be great to use on art pieces as well such as henna on wood, candles, canvas, silk etc. Please watch our video on Creating a Henna Art Piece on Wood. Great activity to do with kids of all ages.
Happy Henna Shopping!!
What was point of sending out the ad for the jamila henna powder @2.99 when there was not enough stock. It is 12:14 am 5/13/11 the sale is supposed to end at midnight 5/13/11!
Sakina, the product had a delay in going live. It was out of stock at that time because we didn’t want clients ordering it before the sale went live. It took a few extra minutes for it to go live online in our shop. It’s available and ready for purchase. Enjoy!
Khadija, The response to your client is just another example of your stellar customer service. You answer promptly and take the time to explain thoroughly as you understand people don’t always know the behind the scenes of the business world. Businesses know customers always want to order early before the rush and not risk “”sold out”” notice. Very courteous response!
Joan, wow! Absolutely. We just want people to be treated the way we want to be treated. Communication is the key and to be humble and grateful. I agree. We only have a limited quantity of Jamila 2008 as well. We just got it from the company recently when we had to place a new order with them. Jamila henna has been flying off the shelves!!
Thank you so much Joan. This really makes my day. It really does.
Just wondering, what is the expiration date for this particular batch?
Jackiej, thanks for posting. The bottom of the box says May 2011. The time this henna is cultivated is June, so this batch would have been put together June 2008.
Henna powder doesn’t go bad. It’s just that the dye content becomes lower and it’s just not as fresh.
If you aren’t concerned with color results and just want all the benefits of using henna then this is a very good choice. It’s comparable to what people might buy in the Indian shops except it’s BAQ and not hair quality Jamila.
For hair use and for art pieces it will work well.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick response. But I have another question…sorry đŸ™‚ If I was to go ahead and mix up the henna and freeze it, 3-6months from now would I still be able to get the same results?
Not a problem. That’s what I’m here for đŸ™‚
Yes you can absolutely still use it. I would do the same personally. I would use it. I’d recommend you freeze it no longer then 4 months at a time. Sometimes it changes and gets more runny when kept frozen too long.
If we missed the deadline is it still possible to get this Henna product?
I also would like to order a kilo of Henna, how do I do that?
Thank you
Cheryl
Hi Cheryl, we might have some left in stock but we have to complete the current orders for it from Happy Henna Friday and if there is some left they’ll be put online tomorrow by the afternoon. Please check back tomorrow evening or email us directly for confirmation. Thanks!
hello, i have a question, i ordered some jamila henna in august, i mixed a box with lemon juice and some lavender essential oil and got a beautiful brown color on the back of my hand, i tried mixing another box yesterday and today i got not color results at all. the henna has been stored in my room in the box closed away from humidity and light but not away from heat, since the weather was pretty hot in my country those past few months, do u think that my henna powder has lost its dye content becauce of the heat? thank u very much
Hi Amy
It’s possible but it’s not likely it could demise so quickly. Are you sure they were from the same year batch? Were they both Jamila 2011? or 2010? How long did you let it sit for? both times? Did you possibly change anything else at all?
