Bold Arabic flowers with thick borders, paisleys and vines filled with tiny fill and delicate motifs, full coverage of the hands (or not!) — these are some words to describe the popular styles of “Indo-Arabic henna.” A little bit of fine Indian work, a little bit of bold Arabic work, and a whole lot of goodness! This class will cover three aspects of Indian Arabic henna:
*** Common motifs one should know to achieve this style (flowers, paisleys, vines, fills, borders)
*** How to achieve a natural (looking) “flow” to your work; very important particularly for this style as designs should not look too “thought out” or mapped
*** Tips on how to increase speed as this is a popular style requested at sangeets and party events, and great for festivals too
A demo will follow after lecture.
This class is ideal for beginner to intermediate levels
