Hi HennaSooq,
What exactly makes your Rhassoul clay Organic? To my understanding it is natural clay mined from the Earth (unlike food that would be grown) that would not require pesticides or preservatives. Just curious! Thanks!
Hello Regina. Yes rhassoul is mined in that way but then it has to be processed. So all their processing and certification goes through ecocert. This clay is is hard ball of rock and then it has to be processed into either clay pieces or milled into fine powder. The area must also be organically certified meaning so outside elements getting into the soil as organic certification has to also be done on pure soils and no processed on, so that they don’t have impurities in them.
Same as with Indian herbs. They have to have fresh, clean soils which are started by cleansing them for at least 3-5 years so they can be certified.
Our rhassoul clay is certified organic though ecocert which is approved by USDA.
