Prem United Presents Elite Original Fashion Design at Hungama 2008 at the Just for Laughs – Saturday June 21st, 2008
Our premier Indo inspired fashion show Hungama 2008, presents a unique blend of both ‘his’ and ‘her’ South Asian attire with a fresh and elegant style accenting traditional to western appeal! We’ll feature the newest trends in traditional Indian clothing from Montreal’s finest with a contemporary twist! We’ll then take you into the nuance of western couture through Shai, which is a wonderfully sassy original collection of western themes infused with vibrant Indian inspired elements! This highly anticipated event will also feature a new men’s collection Go Cool Mensware where we will amaze you with a similar contrast for men. There will be a phenomenal Indian style after party provided by Jiva Productions immediately following the show, and many many more surprises on the program!
PREM UNITED’S ROLE:
Our role in producing this event is to promote the incredible talent of fashion designers Shaleen Rastani, and Robi Gocool who are part of our collective and aspire to innovate and create new Indo Inspired designs. Their creations reflect the integrity of the culture and the nuances of how it is evolving within our community. It is our pride and joy to create specialized training of emerging models and celebrate the art of modeling within this domain. Our goal is to launch this talent, and create new and exciting job opportunities within our community to allow our members to continue developing their talents and passions within the fashion industry.
Prem United is truly a community-orientated enterprise, in that our budgets are self-financed from key sponsors and advertisers within our community, of which we would like to thank in advance for all of their support. We would like to acknowledge ‘Académie Internationale ‘ for providing hair and make up stylists for our models, Henna Sooq for providing the outstanding henna design for our Mendhi Expo, Amrit-Bir Textiles for providing all of the material for our new creations being presented at Hungama, and many other businesses that are truly supporting our endeavor consistently. Special thanks to Zehra Rizvi Photography for doing such a fantastic job with our promotional photo shoot, and all the models who are bringing this production to life!!
