I’m absolutely having a ball of a time by mixing jagua juice with my henna paste. It creates such a beautiful rick dark stain that naturally comes out black. So yes! Henna can be black staining with the addition of jagua juice.
Jagua juice is from the genipa americana fruit with is also used to create jagua gel. You take the jagua juice as a replacement for your liquids usually used in the creating of your henna paste. See how creamy and smooth my henjua paste is.
I use our Supreme Blend henna powder, Red Raj Bliss Blend EO, some fructose sugar and Jagua Juice. I don’t typically measure as I’ve been making henna paste so long that I’m comfortable like a chef would be with their cooking. We also have our henjua paste cones available.
I had a client ask me to mix henna and henjua paste to make a two toned henna design. Can you tell which one is henna and which is henjua?
For Mary we had a second attempt at her hengua design due to my first batch not having a high content of jagua juice (only 25%) and in that lesser batch really only yielded her a dark red design that looked like it only was henna. This time this popular favorite came out such a deep rich black. Incredibly gorgeous! View the stain results on our Instagram (CLICK).
Oh Sun Star! I think he loves me.
