When I met Jamal, I instantly liked him. I remember when an Auntie called me at work, and told me he was there to meet me. She said: “He’s cute!” LOL!
It’s been a really cool journey with my boo, and he’s an awesome daddy! We have 6 beautiful children together.
It may seem like a lot of kids, but it’s just right for us. I wouldn’t change anything.

My dad has been gone since I was 24 years old. It’s crazy how time just slips away, and it hurts that he’s a distant memory.
He was a well known club DJ: DJ Lance Romance. He had thousands of records. He knew how to strip a bike down, fix it and turn it into a brand new bike. He was there for me, and chose to stay to raise me. I couldn’t have wanted anything more.
He immigrated to Montreal, when he was just 16, from Guyana. I remember our Sunday breakfasts by his sister’s home. He definitely helped me to become the woman and mother I am today.
I’ll never forget when he told me back years ago when Google had just started, that it was going to be a BIG thing. He was right. How I wish we would have invested in Google back then! Darn it. He was had a way of knowing what was going to be the next big thing.
