I’ve been reading a new book called: The Green Beauty Guide, that I picked up in Toronto. I’ve really enjoyed some of the recipes in this book, and will be sharing some of them with you, that I had found interesting. I’ve added my own touches to the recipes, as well.

Chamomile Rinse for Blond Hair

This rinse will rejuvenate blond, and fair hair with a boost in color, and shine. It’s also great if you add cassia obovata to this recipe.

Need: 6 bags of chamomile tea (or 1 cup dry chamomile flowers, which Henna Sooq carries, to 3 cups boiling water), 1/2 cup plain yoghurt, 5 drops lemongrass essential oil.

  • Boil 1 cup of water, and steep your tea bags, or herbs for 15 minutes.
  • Place brew in a bowl. Add yoghurt, and lemongrass oil to the chamomile tea and mix thoroughly.
  • Apply the mixture to dry or damp hair, and work in thoroughly from the scalp, all the way through to the ends of your hair. Cover with a shower cap, or saran wrap. Leave this on for 20 minutes, and wash out as you normally do.

Let us know how it turns out!
