Beeswax globe candle

This challenge will push you to get your henna juices flowing, learn the best candle techniques, application and sealing.

You’ll need (some are optional): henna candle(s), henna paste (follow the recipe), alcohol wipes/swab, wax, wax paper, heat gun, hair dryer, glitter gel, modge podge, brushes, paper towel, newspaper, and any other items you’d like to use.

Entering will make you eligible to win a Gift of Henna Artisans goodies, and a Handmade Beeswax candle (measures 3.5 inches high, 3 inches wide all around, and a long wick).

Some tips and advice:

  • Watch videos provided
  • Find other videos for inspiration and tips
  • Make a simple henna recipe batch of henna powder and sugar/molasses for best results. No need to let it sit for dye release
  • Google to get as many ideas, and techniques to use and challenge yourself
  • Have fun!!

  • Which type of candles work best and which did not?

To enter:

  • A photo of your final candle (clearly marked with your name, or better yet placed within your album and marked with #hennachallenge (must have hashtag)
  • A written account of what you did, and used or
