Here’s a wonderful recipe that’s thoroughly cleansed my hair/scalp without stripping/drying out my hair with the addition of any sort of inorganic ingredients:
Herbal Clarifier
2 TBSP Shikakai Powder
1 TBSP Neem Leaf Powder
1 TBSP Tulsi Powder
Blended with the strained herbal decoction from soaking just the hulls (outer shell)of Whole Aritha/Soapnuts in 20 oz. distilled water overnight. Clean, healthy, dandruff free and shiny hair!!!
Hi all, the joy of making your own hair cleanser is your able to tweek as you go… its always changing.
1 tsp marshallow root
1 tbs neem leaf
1 1/2 cups of water
Bring to the boil all above ingredients. Take off heat and leave for 30mins to overnight. Strain and add:
1tbs Rhassoul clay
Mix until a thick batter add more water if necessary.
Apply to roots, massage, leave for 5-20mins. Add a little water smooth down hair and then rinse well. Volia
My favorite natural shampoo is rhassoul and amla.

Here’s my recipe, it works like a charm for cleansing plus moisture
1/3 cup aloe vera juice
2 Tbsp bentonite clay
2 Tbsp rhassoul clay
1 Tbsp shikakai
1 Tbsp coconut oil
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
Tea tree oil
Lavender oil
Water
5 oz bentonite clay powder
2 oz unrefined melted cocoa butter
2 oz extra virgin olive oil
1 oz pure cocoa powder
2 tbs cassia obovata
1/2 cup hot coconut water
This recipe conditions and cleanses. I make mini shampoo bars with this
Here’s my recipe
1 ounce of amla
Water
1 tbsp of lemon juice
1 ounce of shikakai
1 tbsp honey
Peppermint tea
Equal parts amla, shikakai, and bentonite clay
1 tbsp coconut oil
3-4 drops of tea tree oil
2 drops of lavendar oil
