Lydia chose Henna Sooq for her bridal henna to incorporate her Malaysian culture into her wedding.

We drove out to beautiful Chestertown, MD. The sun was shining on this scenic drive. Brittland Manor Estates is absolutely gorgeous, and boasts over 500 acres. Such a  great venue.

When I’m doing bridal henna, I typically start with the palms since it requires more detailed work. Some artists like to start with the tops since it can give the tops more staining time. It’s all a matter of personal preference.

Should henna feet designs be involved, then I would do one side of both hands and then move down to do the feet so that that one side can dry, and then I can do the opposite side of those hands once the feet are complete. Dry henna designs can rest comfortably and safely on a pillow or towel.

Can you find the initials in the palms? Did you know that placing the initials in the henna designs is a traditional way to break the ice between groom and bride?

Once the palms we moved on to the tops of her hands. The henna paste I made was so creamy and smooth. Perfect henna paste = perfect henna designs. I was using Red Raj blended with Jamila BAQ, along with some fructose, molasses, lemon juice, water and our Red Raj Bliss Blend EO.
