Moroccan henna is one of the hardest henna powders to get in stock, as it takes more time then usual, and finding the right source for high quality Moroccan henna is also difficult.

This is an amazing henna powder, and just like argan oil, it’s one of the premium henna powders available! It was my first love affair with henna. It always had to be Moroccan henna.

For hair it’s great as it blends well to create brown to black tones without the red peeking through. In recent years though the Moroccan henna has produced richer stains, so we do recommend hair strand tests to ensure the color is still blending well with the proper proportions used.

Moroccan henna also has a very fast dye release, so you don’t need to sit and wiat for hours for your henna to be ready. When mixing it for body art application, it is ready right on time, especially for those last minute henna parties. It should usually be ready between 6-8 hours.

The rich, color results on the skin is perfect for henna body artists. You can see below the progression of how natural henna deepens over time.

 Moroccan henna is so rich, creamy, and has gorgeous color results this year! We did go ahead and order extra before the 2009 crop is finished. There has been heavy rains there as well, that will cause the crop for 2010 to come in a little later this year.

There will be many holiday, and winter parties going to be happening within the next 1-2 months. We have already begun taking bookings.

At the Henna Sooq, we offer natural henna body art services, along with glitter body art. Our services are appropriate for ages 4 and up to 99+. Our henna paste is 100% natural, and handmade by us. Henna designs will last 2-3 weeks, and glitter tattoos last 4-5 days. These designs, and tattoos can be placed anywhere on the body that you’d like. Be creative and have fun!

Our company offers a personalized service where each, and every attendee receives a henna design that they would like. We can copy a design from one of our many books they can select from, or they can choose a custom design.

They can add glitter to their design from a selection of over 10 colors, or leave it as a traditional henna design.

Our company can provide services for 1 to over 500+ people. We are always on time, very quick at our work (it only takes us 5 minutes per person), efficient, talented in a variety of styles, hard working, and professional. We also speak both french, and english.

Our 2nd location will be opening on September 5th, 2009 in Mississauga.

The location will be 3092 Mavis Rd, Mississauga, Ontario at the Mississauga Farmer’s/Flea Market. Store number 87.

Our hours will be from 10 am to 6 pm every Saturday and Sunday.
Local pick up orders will be available, but these orders must be made by Friday in order for the Local Pick Up orders to be ready for delivery to this location.

Only select products will be sold at this location. All products in our Mississauga store will be sold at a reduced price saving you EVEN MORE!  

Services available will be henna body art, and temporary glitter tattoos. We will still be available for private sessions, parties, and bridal events.

Important! The hours at our Brampton location will be changing. Local pick ups will be from 10 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday, depending on availability. There will be NO more local pick ups on Saturdays.

Free henna design from 10 am to 12 pm.

This is a very popular and easy way to use your glitter.

After you’ve done your henna design and it is still wet, lightly squeeze the glitter poof bottle over top of the henna design, so that the glitter falls right on top of the design giving it that sparkly shine.

Once the paste crumbles off or is removed, the glitter will also come off in this process.

This method is great for kids, festivals, and many occasions to add something extra special to your henna design, either as a professional henna artist or enthusiast.

 How to create glitter tattoos

In this method you can create glitter temporary tattoos that last at least 4-5 days. This method is great for adding glitter to a design that you want the glitter to last longer, such as for bridal mehndi, or for kids who can’t have a henna design.

To do this, you’ll need acrylic adhesive. You paint the acrylic adhesive on into the stencil or freehand, and allow to dry. Once this is dry, you can poof the glitter color(s) that you’d like to apply. Just brush or gently blow the excess away.

 How to create glitter gel

 This can last a few hours or up to 24 hours, as this depends on what quality of gel you use to make your glitter gel.

To make glitter gel, get a high quality gel that is long lasting and/or waterproof. A good quality gel is visible by its very small air bubbles inside of the hair gel product. You will need to add 2 parts glitter to 8 parts gel. You can play around with the proportions as desired.
