Henna Chai’s February Henna Weekend presents the uber talented Melanie Ooi flying in from Portland, Oregon to be with us. Blue Lotus Henna is the home of Portland’s most exquisite henna artistry performed by Melanie Ooi. Melanie’s services extend beyond the skin, to henna decorated candles, belly casting and decorating, and ethereal mandala paintings. On February 6th she’ll be teaching two classes. Mastering Mandalas This class teaches the fundamentals of creating perfectly symmetrical freehand mandalas. Melanie has specialized in mandalas for years and offers all her self-realized secrets in this session. Students will create their own beautiful mandalas by the end of the class. Booth like a Boss In this class Melanie goes over all the logistics for creating and operating a successful henna booth for festivals, street fairs and markets. Everything from set-up, customer service and design presentation, to creating return customers, after care and troubleshooting.
