We want the Henna Chai to remain a place to just be yourself, as a  henna enthusiast enjoying each other’s company. To have an opportunity to learn some great new skills, and techniques from professionals. To have an endless stream of henna, yummy food, and conversation.

On top of two holidays that have just passed, and holiday rush orders, we got a few days behind.

We were at the RIS conference in downtown Toronto that ran from December 25th to 27th. There were over 17,000 attendees at the conference, and we did many hours of henna designs on hundreds of people. We reached out to new clients regarding our natural hair care line, services, and products. Thank you for coming out to see us at the conference!

I personally had the stomach flu, just last week, along with a few of my children. It was not fun at all. It put us out for another day.

We are going to be shipping out all current orders, and we look forward to you enjoying our products!

Also all contests updates, photos, and submissions will resume as regularly scheduled. We do want more natural hair care submissions right away! Thank you again.

During the holiday break of December, we had a very big conference. Reviving the Islamic Spirit. This is their 6th annual event, and our first time being there. They attract over 10,000 visitors to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. We had Shaista Jalal, of Hennarinah.com, to come out and work with the Henna Sooq booth. We had a pretty good location, and generated good traffic. We were extremely busy. We literally barely got to eat, and by the end of the full conference weekend, we were beat tired. But it was really exciting, and now we can plan for next year. With the hopes of something bigger, and better.

After the conference, our Indian order came in. We had to rush over there to retrieve it from customs. We had over 400 kgs of herbal products come in. Our newest additions being Rajasthani Indian Henna Crop 2008, and our Premium Bridal Ubtan.

We also had our first bride of 2009! Sonia was an exquisite bride, with a very generous and kind family. They treated me to a nice dinner with one of my favorite dishes, butter chicken.  Here is a sampling from her bridal mehndi party
