Farms in India are not always willing to make the commitment to go organic. This would mean stopping all crop cultivation for at least 3 years, and that would be a big financial loss to them. Even if their ways are organic, the cost of the certification stops them from being known for their organic farming.

Recently, we, here at Henna Sooq, discovered a company that has organic farms in India, and right in the heart of Rajasthan, where the best henna, and herbs are grown in. All of their certification is up to date. They have certificates of approval from the USDA, and Ecocert.

Why organic henna and herbs?

  • To ensure that no chemicals/fertilizers have been used on the plants, and in the soil
  • To have had the certificate showing that proper testing has been done on these herbs showing they contain no pesticides whatsoever
  • To show that the organic standars of both India, and USA have been met
  • To provide herbs that are even less likely to cause allergic reactions.
  • We feel that the absence of pesticide and chemical use, will satisfy our clients who want a safer, and healthier product

We’re going to take small steps, and have decided to start out with organic rajasthani indian henna, organic indigo for hair, and organic cassia obovata. They are now in stock, and are the current Fall Crops 2009. We’d like to see how they do on the market, and if our clients really prefer to have an organic line henna, and natural herbs.

Our organic rajasthani indian henna is so finely sifted, it is perfect for henna body art as well. We had it extra finely sifted, as we always do each and every year. The color results of our testing, was amazing! We’ll post up pictures soon.

Organic Herbs

Good news, is that we found them at competitive prices, so the prices of our new organic herbs will remain the same as usual. No price increase!!
Older 2008 crops of indigo, rajasthani indian henna, and cassia obovata have been lowered! You won’t want to miss out on the new, lower prices, because quantities are limited.
