Toronto’s Halal Food Fest is this weekend! June 14-15, 2014 at the International Center, Hall 5 located at 6900 Airport Rd., in Mississauga, Ontario. Cassia is a versatile herb that can be used in many ways. Today’s focus is on the strengthening power of this incredible plant based hair treatment. Our Organic Cassia Obovata (aka senna obovata or neutral henna) will give your hair the conditioning, strengthening and shine that henna similarly does. It contains a golden or slightly yellow dye molecule that can dye light, grey or blond hairs, but more darker hair tones this won’t show up. Cassia is a hair treatment that is not as drying as henna can be, and acts as a semi-permanent. We recommend this treatment be repeated every 2-3 weeks. As a paste treatment, cassia will coat each hair strand and requires to be left in the hair at least 30-60 minutes. It is an excellent conditioner and will make your hair glossy and thick. You don’t have to worry about protecting your work surface from staining. Cassia treatments can be drying for some. We recommend for dryer hair types to co-wash your cassia paste out, or use a moisturizing oil after your treatment (Moisturize). If your hair is already dry, you will want to pre-oil your hair the night before or a couple of hours before doing this treatment for best results. Recipe for Deep Conditioning using our Organic Cassia Obovata (yields enough for ear length hair. Double recipe as needed) Those with dry hair may wish to pre-oil their hair prior to treatment.
