Reflections of a Henna Artist.

I’m sitting here today thinking to myself about the journey I’ve taken with my henna artwork. I realized just now that I have left that point where I wanted to be like every other henna artist, or taken the majority of my inspiration from. I found that I actually like (and love!) my own henna artwork. I’ve found that I am finally unique in my artwork and it’s always been my own. I don’t think I realized it, or accepted it. My personal light bulb just came on.

A lot of times you might hear artists claiming or saying that they wonder how and when will I find my style, my flow, and it’s basically a journey. It’s part of being an artist, and life.

My Artistic Claim: First I barely had a clue on how to do henna as I drew with shaky hands…then I didn’t need to look at design books…then I wanted to be like every other artist….and today I’m happy to be the artist I AM FOR ME! …and shoot…I’m pretty darn good too!

You can get there. It will happen. Believe, xo
